It is hard to believe a year has passed since Zachary left this earth. We haven't posted since his birthday and will probably continue to do so on the dates of the major events of his life. The weeks leading up to the 13th have been filled with moments of reflection as we have remembered the events and activities that took place one year ago in the last days of Zachary's life. It has been a difficult time but there have also been many happy memories we have been able to relfect upon. We are still amazed to see how his short life impacted our family and how he also touched so many other lives.
We were able to have a great day as family on the 13th as we spent the day remembering Zach. We went to the temple in the morning and enjoyed the time and the peaceful spirit that we felt there. In the afternooon we had a balloon release with some friends of ours, which has kind of become a tradition for us to write messages to Zach and then release them. At the end of the day we were able to watch the DVD of Zach's life. It really was a nice day and helped us to remember what a wonderful blessing Zachary was in our life and how blessed we were to be able to enjoy the nine months we were able to spend with him.
We have received many calls, letters, and cards, from friends and family letting us know that we were in their thoughts over the past few weeks and can't ever thank you enough. We are truly blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you to all.

The 13th was a special day for us to think of Zach. It was great to go to the temple and feel close to him and to you guys. We are glad we got to spend time with you after that we love your family so much and think of Zach all the time. This is the first time in my life (after setting the goal many times) that I achieved monthly temple attendance and that is totally because of my promise to our family for Zach. What a an amazing impact he has had on me. We love you guys!
Zachary will always have a special place in my heart.
