Sorry we haven't posted in a little while. We just returned from a short vacation to Disneyland. We felt Hailey and Clayton deserved a little vacation before Hailey starts school since we hadn't really done anything all summer other than travel back and forth to the Hospital. We had a great time and kept very close tabs on Zach through Grandpa Thomas who was at the hospital twice a day for the entire time we were gone.
Zach had his six-month birthday party (as you can see from the picture). It was an Incredibles theme (as Hailey and Clayton are convinced that is our family) and the hospital staff did a great job putting this together for us. It was nice to celebrate something with Zach. We really enjoyed it and Zach was sure smiling a lot.
Zach is still having problems with his digestive system. The doctors can't seem to find the cause but we can't ignore the fact that he reacts poorly to his feeds and continues to run fevers and contract various infections. Zach went in for a couple of CT scans of his digestive system earlier this week. They did not find anything unusual on the scan so his digestive problems remain a mystery.
Zach's support requirements have been pretty much the same for the last week or so although he continues to spike fevers. We are going to seek a second opinion of Zach's abdominal recovery following the G-tube and fundoplication surgery. Our hope of course is that we can find something that can be treated. We will also be touring the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) as the care staff thinks we should look at transferring him there. He is by far the oldest and largest kid in the NICU and is approaching the end of the Neonatologists expertise. We will update everyone once we have that meeting as to what the future looks like and any changes that may be in store for Zach and his potential change of address within the hospital.
Thanks for all the prayers, hopefully we can figure out what is going on with Zach soon.

Welcome home! And Happy belated six-months Zachary! How fun - the whole "Incredible" family was able to attend (puns intended)! We sure hope you can find some answers to help Zachary soon. Maybe a pediatric doctor will be able to offer more. Always in our prayers!!
Hey guys we miss having you around in California. The update was great to see and the family photo sure is cute. Zach is incredible and we hope the doctors will soon be able to determine what is happening with his digestive tract. Grandpa is sure an amazing guy his support has been above and beyond the call of duty. We love you guys and look forward to having Zach out on your next visit to Disneyland. WE love you --the camps
Welcome back! I am glad that you got to go to California for a little break. The picture of your family is so cute. It sounds like you had a good time.
We will keep Zachary in our prayers!

O man that was a fun day and we already miss The Incredibles!
I'm glad you had a nice time in California. You all needed a little break. As always, we are thinking about you and praying for you and Zach, and trying to remember that it's in Heavenly Father's hands and that he can see around the corners that we can't. Just a reminder Tieryn, check out the article on page 62 of this month's Ensign.

Wow- between vacation and Incredible birthday parties it sounds like you guys have been having fun! Cheers to grandpa for taking such good care of Zach so you guys could take the other kids for a break!
And although it isn't the same ball game, I do feel your frustration on unknown digestive problems. We pray that the doctors can be led to figure out what is wrong and the best way to help your baby Incredible! You guys are awesome and we pray for all of you!
